I think I need more beer I'm so frustrated. All I can say from my experience is I'd be surprised if Notepad could actually run. While I really didn't expect Quickbooks to actually work, they advertise complete support for MS Office 20. Mweaver wrote:Had a look at Crossover today. One of those behaviors is once I'm connected to the terminal server, that little tab at the top that hides itself, if I minimize the RDP session window for something on my desktop, that hidden slide-out tab is no longer available. I like it but it's got some odd behaviors - one of which I like - but others I could do without.

I'm currently using Remmina Remote Desktop Client. Connecting directly to the terminal server is a bit clunky since I haven't found a decent TS client for linux with the desired behavior. Have I got a chance of accomplishing this or am I pissing into the wind on this? The only way might answer this question for myself is if I could get a hold of a downloadable Windows RDP client, but I haven't been able to find one. I need that piece to be installed with Wine so that those TS packages will run and connect to the terminal server.

Those packages I can create - especially for quickbooks - I'd like to be able to install and run using Wine so that I can run directly on my Mint desktop, but there's one piece of the puzzle missing: Windows Remote Desktop client. The purpose of that application package is to open an RDP session to the terminal server and run just that program. msi format) that you install on the local workstation. Sure, I can open an RDP session to the server, but one of the fun things about Windows Terminal Services is that you can create and deploy an application package (in.

I've also got a terminal server (Windows 2008 R2) running in my rack. I'm a computer consultant and as such I've got a Windows AD server and CentOS LAMP server. I'm perfectly happy now, well as happy as one can be doing work sometime, however there are few things I'd really like to be able to do. I recently got so fed up with Mandatory Windows 10 updates breaking Windows 10 on my laptop, that I split my HD and loaded Mint 18 on it.
